Ketan moved to New Zealand from India about 12 years ago. Ketan has worked in the community mental health sector in the United States, helping children and families experiencing emotional and behavioural struggles. In New Zealand, Ketan has worked in addiction rehabilitation services and community behavioural health organizations.
He works with adults, children, adolescents and young persons’ experiencing a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties as well as working with parents in developing effective parenting techniques to guide behaviour positively.
Ketan’s approach to therapy is collaborative and creative. In therapy the focus is on developing a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship in which clients feel able to express themselves to create long term change.
Ketan speaks English, Marathi and Hindi fluently.
